Disappointment or His Appointment

Everybody gets disappointed at some stage. Disappointed in their wife or husband with boss or their children it’s just part of life we expect something and it doesn’t happen. But people are not perfect and we sort of expect to be disappointed. But what if you feel disappointed in God?
Naomi in the book of Ruth had to go down to Moab because there was a famine in Bethlehem. While in Moab, her husband and her two sons or died. She returns back to Bethlehem and says to everybody don’t call me Naomi but Mara, for I went out full but the Lord has made me come back empty. Call me Mara for I’m bitter.
Naomi was disappointed that she lost her husband and her two sons. Naomi did not have perspective yet what God was going to work out of her situation. Sometimes we are disappointed because we don’t have perspective, yet.
The disciples were disappointed when Jesus went to the cross they had no idea it was His appointment of an incredible importance. Many times when we can’t see the disappointment as His appointment, it’s only a matter of time.
Naomi was only bitter because she lacked perspective she couldn’t see that God was making an appointment with destiny, for her to become the great grandmother of King David and part of Messiahs line.
Joseph was extremely disappointed as he looked back as brothers from on top of the camel. Young alone and now sold to traders by his family, fear and disappointment and wild ideas about the future coursed through his mind. How could they do that a brother? Don’t they even care? It was a betrayal of the worst type. It was a huge disappointment and it would be a matter of years before Joseph saw that it was His appointment.
Friend, the only thing lacking most often from seeing our disappointments as a His appointment is time and perspective.
